Mohair
Vitale Barberis Canonico has woven in Biella since 1663, one of the oldest mills in the world, spinning, weaving and finishing its own cloth at the foot of the Italian Alps.
Mohair was known in antiquity as the noble fibre, prized for its length, fineness and lustre. Little else carries so much composure in so light a cloth as a tropical of wool and mohair: dry to the touch, resilient, cool to wear, at ease in a day suit and at its best on formal occasions. The fibre is South African, bought only under Mohair South Africa certification, which traces it to farms held to the association's standards for the breeding of angora goats.
Fabric colors are reproduced as faithfully as possible but may vary with light and screen.
